Excellent paper handling, fast printing from Linux/Ghostscript.
USB interface included.
Expandable to 36MB with conventional 72-pin DRAM.
The standard 4MB is insufficient; especially for the 1200x600 mode; at least 8 or 10MB is probably best.
Brother publishes proprietary Linux drivers for CUPS and LPD for most of their laser printers and multi-function devices, including SANE drivers for the scanners. They can be downloaded free of charge on their Linux driver page.
