The printer works partially by adding by hand the file /usr/bin/foo2oak (this
file can be obtained using suse rpm packages). I can even print the test page
in colors using Edgy. But I am having problems when printing longer documents.
I have also succeded to print using samba.

I did and on Mandrake 9.2 using printdrake and cups. But the printer is
repeatedly trying to print the same page.

About "repeatedly trying to print the same page", check the paper size in the
soft and printer. FRV is working fine in monochrome. I can't print in color
yet.

I have the same problem. With BW works fine, but in COLOR the printer stop
and, after pushing to continue, repeatedly try to print the same page. Is
different when I send others paper sizes, because the printer stop and continue
to print another pages (pushing continue button of course).
PS: with 2-bit color, the printer print in BW and have the same problem as
color.

Version 04/11/04 now prints to colors to activate the margins and to put to
zero the space of all margins (top,bottom,left,right) for problems in the press
of the next pages

The same error (repeatedly try to print the same page) occurs also with the
original HP driver on a Windows OS computer.

Testbed is Mandrake 10.0 with CUPS and some by default installed
print-managers.  Printer is HPCLJ1500L out of the box.

Printing works fine both on monochrome (1 and 2 Bits) and on Color (1 and 2
Bits).

The "repetitive printing of the same page" problem has been fully solved by
selecting the correct papersize both on the driver and the print-managers.  It
must! be in accordance with the real size and feed used on the printer.  I
suggest to set off any Auto mode for size and feed selection fields on the
driver and print-managers and specify there accurately the values of real local
world. ;-)

Color correction both on monochrome as color modes have to be added.

No further problems found else while testing various options like stretching,
poster, 1-2-4 pages per sheet, reverse, landscape etc.
