Printer supports direct text printing with the 'us-ascii' charset.

Comments

For basic printing functionality use the HPIJS driver . For advanced functionality such as printer status and maintenance features, use the HPLIP driver (which includes HPIJS).

600 dpi in colour is not supported by the hardware.

Portable printer, does 600x600 in bw and 600x300 in colour.

If you need a portable printer with a higher output quality, you should take the Canon BJC-50/55/80/85.

Michael Sweet, author of CUPS wrote about this printer:

You can't get high quality out of the 350 *at all*. Not even under Windows. I had one in our lab for about a month. We sent it back rather than keeping the printer because it looked so bad. IIRC it only prints at 300 DPI; a driver for the DeskJet 500C is the best match...

(What do you expect? It's a portable printer.)
